The Lal Bagh Palace is a spectacular and beautiful building situated in Indore City of Madhya Pradesh. It is an Opulent European style royal residence situated on the banks of Sarswati River. It is surrounded by lush green Lalbagh Gardens. Lal Bagh Palace, Indore is a three storey building located on Lal Bagh Road in the outskirts of Indore city.
The construction of the building was started by Tukoji Rao Holkar II in 1886. Construction was completed in three phases and it was completed by Tukoji Rao Holkar III in 1921. Construction of Lal Bagh Palace, Indore took 35 years. It is spread in the area of 28 Acre along with beautiful rose gardens and a big garden. It displays the lavish lifestyles of our kings. It was the residence of the Holkar dynasty till 1987 and now it is now converted into the museum.

The timings of Lal Bagh Palace are 10 AM to 5 PM every day except Monday. It remains closed on Monday (weekly off). Entry charge to Lal Bagh Palace is very nominal, visitors have to pay only 10 Rs for entry into the palace. Camera charges are 25 Rs, however photography is prohibited inside the palace and visitors must have to submit their phones before entering into the palace. The palace is surrounded by a very big garden and clicking of pictures are allowed in the garden.

How to Reach Lalbagh Indore
It is located in the outer of the Indore city on the Lal Bagh road. Indore Junction Railway Station is 4 KM far from here and Distance from Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport (Indore Airport) is around 8 KM from here. Visitors can reach here via public transport which includes, Ola cabs, city bus, auto rickshaws and cycle rickshaws. Another tourist attraction Indore city, Kamla Nehru Prani Sanghralaya is also 4 KM from here.

It is surrounded by a vast garden and public taxis and buses left the visitors outside the gate. Private taxis or personal vehicles are advisable to reach here because the distance between main gate and the Lalbagh palace is little far. It is a good place for history buffs who wants to see the lavish lifestyle of our kings and it is a good place for photography. Photography is not allowed inside the palace, however, visitors can click the pictures in the beautiful garden and out of the palace.
