Ghalib Museum, Ghalib Library and Academy
Ghalib Museum is located in the West Nizamuddin area of Delhi. The museum is located on the third floor of the Ghalib academy building. Ghalib academy is a cultural and educational institute. It was inaugurated on 22nd February 1969 by third President of India, Dr. Zakir Hussain. The museum is based on the life of famous Urdu Poet Mirzha Ghalib. Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib was a famous poet of Urdu in the 18th century.
The museum consists the pictures of Mirza Ghalib, collection of his poem, his attires, etc. It also houses a statue of Ghalib, specimen of his handwriting, his famous poetry, photographs, his food habits. The art gallery inside the museum houses paintings of famous painters and artists like Satish Gujral, M.F. Hussain, Anis Farooqui. A library is also situated inside the Ghalib academy. Ghalib Library have poetry of Mirza Ghalib and other poets.

Timings of Ghalib museum and library is 11 AM to 6 PM every day except Sunday. The nearest Metro station is Pragati Maidan of Blue line. The station is around 4 KM from the Ghalib Museum. The nearest railway station is Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station(1.2 KM) and Sarai Kale Khan is the nearest bus terminal. Entry is free inside the museum and photography is also allowed.
