List of Governors of West Bengal
Keshari Nath Tripathi is the present governor of West Bengal. Since Independence, 26 Governors were appointed in West Bengal. Chakravarthi Rajagopalachari was the first Governor of West Bengal. Padmaja Naidu was appointed as first female governor of West Bengal. She was the daughter of Sarojini Naidu, who was known as The Nightingale of India. Padmaja Naidu acted as Governor of WB for 11 years, longest for any governor for West Bengal.
