Jaipur Zoo Timings, Ticket Price, Address and Information
Jaipur Zoo is one of the oldest zoo of the India. It was established and opened in 1877 and it is located near to Albert hall museum and Ram Nivas Garden, Jaipur. Around 550 animals and birds of more than 50 species can be seen here. Jaipur Zoo spreads in an area of 35 acres. This zoo is segmented into two parts; one part is reserved for mammals and the second part is allocated to birds and reptiles.
Jaipur Zoo is in shifting process and it would be later shifted to the Nahargarh Biological Park. Nahargarh Zoological Park spreads in vast areas of 720 hectares as compared to the area of the Jaipur zoological park (5.23 hectare). A museum is also located inside the zoo campus to show the Rajasthan Wildlife. The renowned Ghariyal breeding farm was also set up inside the zoological park in 1999.
List of Animals
The list of animals which are kept in mammal section are Bengal tiger, white tiger, leopard, black panther, fox, jackal, hyena, wolf, monkey, baboon, Himalayan bear, wild boar, black buck, barking deer and lots of other types of deer. Bird sections have peacock, parrots, pelican, emu, crane, duck, vultures, cockatoo, white stork, love bird, owl, etc. Reptile section have lots of Ghariyal (due to Ghariyal breeding farm), crocodile, turtle, tortoise, Indian python, etc.

Jaipur zoo timings are 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM during summers. The zoo opening time is 9 AM and closing time is 5 PM during winters. Two to three hours are sufficient to visit the entire zoo. Summers are really hot in the Jaipur and temperature during the summer season can shoot up to 45C. weather in Winters and monsoon are pleasant for a day trip to the zoo, therefore, as per my opinion winters are the best time to visit the Zoo.

Jaipur Zoological park entry fee is affordable to the pocket. An Indian national has to buy tickets of 30 Rs for the entry and foreigners need to purchase the ticket of 300 Rs to get an entry in the zoo. Child under 5 years are eligible for free entry inside the premises. A camera is allowed inside the zoo by paying 100 Rs as camera fee. Video camera fee is 300 Rs.

It is located in the heart of the city very near to the Albert hall museum and Ramniwas Bagh. Hawa Mahal to zoological park distance is 2 KM. Distance from Jaipur Junction railway station is around 6 KM. Jaipur Zoo nearest metro station is Chandpole metro station, which is 2.5 KM far from the zoo. Jaipur Airport is also not far from here (around 12 KM). You can reach here via different modes of transport, which includes city buses, auto rickshaw, cabs or via private vehicles.

Visitors are advised to carry water in ample quantity. Parking facility is available for zoo visitors. Washroom and toilets are located in the zoo premises. It is a medium sized zoo with adequate number of animals. This place should be visited along with kids, kids will surely love this place.
