Punjab assembly elections will be held at the beginning of 2017 and notification of Punjab elections has been announced in January. The voting will be held on 04 February. Punjab election result will be decalred on 11 March, 2017. After Aam Aadmi Party's announcement that they will contest Punjab elections, now all four major parties will be head to head in upcoming elections. The main parties are INC (Congress), BJP, Akali Dal and AAP. Congress candidate list for Punjab elections is declared. Congress leaders has already declared Amarinder Singh as their CM candidate.
Congress Fifth Candidate List for Punjab Elections 2017
Congress has declared its fifth candidate list for Punjab elections. This list contains name of Navjot Singh Sidhu. Since he left BJP, there were rumors of him joining AAP. However nothing can be truly predicted in politics, Sidhu proved it once again by joining Congress. Punjab fifth candidate list contains names of ten candidates. Sidhu is contesting on Amritsar seat, whereas Capt. Amarinder Singh decided to take on Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Lambi seat. Mr. badal challanged Capt. Fight for Punjab elections has been tough after the entry of the AAP in Punjab politics. Other major parties of Punjab are also feeling the heat of 2017 elections. After the exit of Navjot Singh Sidhu from Upper House of Parliament and rumours of joining Aam Aadmi Party. Exit of Navjot Sidhu made the elections more interesting.
