Punjab assembly elections will be held at the start of 2017 and all the major parties have already started preparation for the upcoming Punjab polls. The alliance of Shiromani Akali Dal and Bhartiya Janta Party is the ruling party in Punjab and Prakash Singh Badal is the Chief Minister of Punjab. After the announcement of Aam Aadmi Party to contest the polls made elections interesting and tough to the opponents. Moreover, AAP already declared their first candidate list for Punjab polls. Shiromani Akali Dal announced the 69 candidates list for Punjab elections in the first list. As per the earlier pact between BJP and SAD, SAD will contest on 94 seats and BJP will contest election for the remaining 23 seats of Punjab Assembly out of 117.

Shiromani Akali Dal Candidates List for Punjab Polls 2017



BJP will fight the 2017 Punjab elections in the partnership with Shiromani Akali Dal. As per the seat agreement, Shiromani Akali Dal will contest on 94 seats, whereas Bhartiya Janta Party will fight on 23 seats. Punjab Assembly has 117 seats and 59 seats are required to form the government in Punjab.

As per the Punjab opinion polls 2016, AAP is going to win Punjab elections by a pretty good margin and New Delhi Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal is the most famous candidate for the Chief Minister of Punjab.
