Delhi Marriage Certificate Registration Fee

Rs 500: If marriage registered in 60 days after the solemnization of marriage.

Rs 1500 (500 Fee + 1000 Penalty): If marriage registered 60 days after the solemnization of wedding.

Certificate Fee + Rs 1000: Tatkal charges along with marriage registration charges. All the fees will be paid in online mode at the time of marriage appointment on https://edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in/. Also you can pay the fee through debit card/credit card at SDM office. Cash payment is not accepted.

Apart from the above document, a two page affidavit is mandatory from bride and groom side. It should include all the important details of bride and groom along with before and after address of both the parties.All the documents will be uploaded only and file size should be under 100 KB.

Marriage Certificate Registration Process in Delhi

The whole process is online and after completing all the procedures you have to visit the SDM court as per your appointment date along with 2 witnesses, husband and wife.

  • Log on to https://edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in/ and register yourself through voter ID card of Aadhar card.
  • Create user and select department of revenue to register for Marriage in Delhi.
  • Now follow all the procedures listed on the website and fill the details.
  • All the process is online so you have to apply online only.
  • Before filling all the details collect all the documents, pictures etc of bride, groom and witnesses so that you can fill all the details in one go.
  • After filling all the details, select the appointment date as per available slot. Marriage registration can be done on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only.
  • Now select payment mode and opt for online mode or you can pay at SDM office through debit/credit card at POS machine.

Online process will take around 40 to 60 minutes to fill the online form.

Physical presence of bride, groom and two witnesses is mandatory in SDM court. Arrive the court as per your appointment time and whole process will take 4 to 6 hours.
