About Nagaland

Nagaland is an eastern state of India and it is one of the smallest and least populated state of India. It is surrounded by Manipur, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. It is also sharing international boundaries with Myanmar. Population of Nagaland is just 2.275 million as 2012.

Nagaland Elections 2018

2018 elections are due in the Nagaland state and election commission of India has released the notification for the elections. 11,89,264 voters are registered as per the final roll for 2018 elections. Nagaland has 60 assembly seats and 59 are registered for schedule tribes. No reservation is granted for the schedule caste. Nagaland has 2187 polling stations in 2018 as compared to 2023 polling stations of 2018.

Indian National Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party, Nationalist Congress Party, Trinamool Congress are the main national political parties of Nagaland along with regional parties like Naga People's Front and Naga National Democratic Party.

Nagaland Elections Results 2013

Last elections for Nagaland Vidhansabha were held in 2013 and Nagaland People's Front won these elections with a majority. They won 37 seats out of 60 seats. More than 90% voters cast their votes in these elections.
